Burrata & Fig Carpaccio


I absolutely adore the taste, texture and colour of figs. They make very attractive starters and delicious desserts. Here is one of my favourite way to eat figs: with cheese!

Try to buy the best quality ingredients in order to achieve the most flavoursome starter.

1 burrata

4 figs

8 basil leaves

Zest of 1 lemon

20g of toasted sunflower seeds

Extra virgin olive oil


Sea salt & black pepper




1- Let the burrata come up to room temperature and marinade in some finely grated lemon zest, olive oil, salt and pepper.

2- Wash and finely slice the figs, dispose directly on the plate.

3- Top with the burrata (shared in half), a drizzle of honey, basil leaves, sunflower seeds, a pinch of salt and pepper.
